Elia and the Low Tears

It was a somewhat boozy weekend. Me and Belle went out to the Gipsy Hill Tavern on Friday night to see Elia & the Low Tears make their South London debut (I think) at a warm-up for the Crystal Palace Overground Festival in June, and my auld china plate Captain Kremmen came along too. It was a lot of fun, and marred only by the sight of ordinarily grown men and women losing themselves in a fantasy, pissy, vomity world where the spectacle of corporate football somehow makes up for the common land being fenced off by the ruling class a few centuries back. Anyway, the show was ace and the next day me and Chris met up with some good folk who are making a documentary about ye olde Non-Stop Picket of the South African Embassy in Trafalgar Square way back when we were all righteous wiseguy delinquents. Good times, naturally.

Me and Tunde

I met up with my auld pal Tunde yesterday. It was the first time in very nearly twenty years and it was ace to see him and hang out again. Where did all the time go?

House band, part XI

Whoah! We're seeing a lot of activity here right now, with press junkets, multiple lifetime achievement awards and endless party as Dee Dee and Johnny join the house band, and woo woo, even Joey has come out of retirement to mark the occasion.
